Durbin's Bar Guide

Updated: 16 May 2008

The Personal Side

I'm Frank Robert Durbin, I was born in Seattle WA, and raised in Torrance CA. Old friends are always welcome to contact me.

What have I been up to? Well, I became an application developer in '93, bounced around Los Angeles a couple times before landing in West Hills with a job in Calabasas writing medical software. Unfortunately business went downhill for that company, and I joined the ranks of the unemployed during an unpleasant merger. As it turned out, I was at that company for so long that I wasn't the hotshot programmer I used to be -- so it was time to update my skills.

I'm currently enrolled at DeVry University, and will graduate in June of '09 to restart my career. Since I'm the last Durbin in the area, I'm also planning on finding greener pastures.

I'm looking forward to packing the cat in the car and listening to him howl a farewell as I leave Los Angeles. :)

Durbin's Bar Guide is an easy-to-use guide for the home bartender, with 1800+ recipes and general information on various beverages.

So what makes Durbin's Bar Guide different from common cocktail manuals?

Your Stock On Hand!

When you first install Durbin's Bar Guide, go to the "Stock On Hand" tab and check off the ingredients that you have available. After that, all you have to do is go to the "Find A Drink" tab and click the "Find A Drink!" button. The search will bring up a list of recipes that you can make with the ingredients you have available.

No more thumbing through cocktail manuals looking at page after page of recipes that require ingredients you don't have. No more surfing through websites unable to find what you're looking for.

With the click of a button, you can find something new and interesting that you can make right now. Take a peek.
